Our first meeting of the season will be held next Monday (8/30/10) night at 7:00 at West Haven. I am looking forward to this years Scouting season.
Yes we are going to Lake Gaston this weekend! We will meet in the Lowes parking lot at 7:00 Saturday morning and will come back late in the afternoon. We need to get a head count! It will be a one day trip, I would like to invite the Parents to go along if they would like.
Some of the Boy’s will be working on the motorboating merit badge.
If you would like to complete the merit this weekend you need to take the boaters safety course and print out the certificate.
Here are the directions if you would like to come at a later time.
Take 158 West from Roanoke Rapids to Oak Grove Church Road. Turn right on Oak Grove Church Road and take the first paved road to the right. This will be Eastern Shores Road. Take Eastern Shores Road almost to the end and there will be a dirt path that turns off to the left. You may have to look carefully for it, but there should be a sign stating Dominion Power Property.
